Fellow Rotarians,

This evening is an important occasion for us as not only would a new member be admitted into our ranks and our website inaugurated but one of the year’s most prestigious events, the Vocational Awards, would be presented. This award demonstrates the excellence of individuals in their respective profession and is used by the Rotary Club to honour such individuals. Today we honour 5 (five) such exceptional individuals, with no less a person than the Vice Chancellor of NEHU himself as Chief Guest.

It was heartening to note the level of participation of the members during the last closed meeting. At times, the discussions appeared to be going out of hand but fortunately, the innate good sense of the members prevailed. The enthusiasm was infectious and only showed the deep affiliation of the members towards their Club. Such constructive suggestions are always welcome.

We need to discuss about the ways to celebrate our Club’s Golden Jubilee. It is a very great event and one that needs to be done with quiet dignity but total enthusiasm. Let us, then, put our heads together and come up with brilliant ideas!
